Bakhtiar Talhah heads the regional office of PFC Energy, strategic advisors in global energy, in Kuala Lumpur. He is also a Director of PFC Energy's Asian Downstream Practice, which focuses on investment opportunities and business strategies in the region. His team provides in-depth analysis on the 17 major markets in the region, with strategic input covering the IOCs and NOCs operating in Asia. Bakhtiar has worked with a number of international and national oil companies on business development as well as political and logistics risk analysis.
Prior to joining PFC Energy, Bakhtiar worked in international business ventures for Petronas, specializing in the Middle East and North Africa. He was involved in Petronas' operations in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as in the Chad-Cameroon pipeline project. He holds a BA from Princeton University and an MA from the Sorbonne University in Paris, and is currently pursuing an MSc from University of Nottingham.
